Welcome to Da China Club

Breakfast today was a mere granola bar. I am not sure how I made it the whole morning on it but somehow I managed. Lunch was however not so pleasant. I like to treat myself every once in a while on Fridays and decided to head down to the Chinese buffet. Need I say more? I can't even name half of what I ate. All of it was just so damn bad. I did have some sushi in the mix, but everything else was triple fried. Let's just say I am over the calorie intake for the day!

Say Yes!

So one of my coworkers wrote me yesterday and asked me did I want to go to a Floetry concert. Being the HUGE fan that I am, I had to "Say Yes." I rushed home in order to shower and get jiggy for the show so I didn't get to stop by subway as I had orginially planned. I had no knowledge of the venu they were playin at but I figured I was going to be able to go in and grab some food before the show started but when I got there at 7, the doors were closed and they were letting no one in. Alana, Sheyreese, and I were all starving so me and Alana, walked to Qdoba while Shey stayed in line. I decided to go with my usual chicken burrito. I really wanted the chicken quesadilla, but figured it wouldn't go to well trying to stand up and eat it in line.

The doors at Paradise were SUPPOSED to open up at 7 so we could buy our tickets. After standing in line for TWO hours we were finally let in at 9. Some no name girl got on stage at like 9:30 and I figured they were going to let her fiddle on the mic for maybe 2-3 song, but umm no. This girl was on stage for an HOUR. I think I heard a total of 2 words she sang cuz her band was playing so damn loud. Finally after sound checking for fifteen mintues, Floetry came on stage. I was highly disappointed that Natalie "floacist" Stewart was not performing, however they still rocked the house. I found out today at work that she is no longer in the group and was replaced by the girl no one knew last nite, radio hostess Amanda Diva. If you think Marsha can sing on wax, you should hear her voice live. Her voice is music has to be one of the best I have ever heard.

Prik Who?

Tony and I were both starving after work so we mutually agreed to move dinner from 8 to 7ish. We went through our regular indecisiveness of deciding where we wanted to eat. Tony says "Where you want to eat?" "I don't care, whatever you want," I say. As we walk up Tremont street we decide to stop into a Thai restaurant. Since both of our stomachs were screaming at us, we decided to get an appetizer. We went with the stuffed chicken wings served with plum sauce. They had shrimp and some other stuff in them. Sounds like a bad combination, but boy were they good. For my meal I had the prik pow fried rice. It is a chicken and shrimp dish with stir fried rice with bell peppers, onions, scallions and egg in Prik Pow sauce. It was very good, but rather spicy so my head was sweating the entire time I was eating it. I am glad I had a good workout because I surely treated myself for dinner. When will the discipline and moderation in my eating habits start?

Have it your way?

Breakfast was a toasted PB&J samich and my usual diet coke to flush it down. It is official, I am addicted. I am still trying to figure out if the headache this morning was from caffeine depravation or the red pepper feast last nite. I will update you on that tomorrow. I don't know who was with me in my car when I drove to Burger King for lunch but it sure wasn't Jesus, that is for sure. I did go for the grilled chicken sandwich though, but still had to have the fries. Are fries really that bad? I mean the grease is bad I know. Well I will just tell myself they aren't bad so I will feel better.

Pizzalicious

So I would go into a long drawn out explanation of my car being in the shop but that would take forever. Anyways, I took my rental car back yesterday because the body shop is done with my car. However, my car is still in the burbs so I was carless yesterday evening and had to take the sub everywhere. Well, the everywhere ended up being home and that was it. Knowing the hastle of trying to take the sub to the gym I called it an evening. I did however put together my new computer cabinet. During that process, I got hungry and decided to eat some cold pizza out of the fridge. When the first two slices weren't enough, I went back for a third. Man, that Domino's pepperoni pizza can be good. O yeh, word to the wise, check and see if the red pepper top is sifted before you pour it on the pizza. Being unwise yesterday I didn't and ended up with a red pepper pizza. Today my stomach is f'ed up SMH. Jesus Take the Wheel.

Discipline

So the department meeting rolls around and I have a tough choice to make. Should I be a fat ass or not? Our admin lady always over orders a plethora of pizza for the department meeting, so it is like a buffet whenever our department meets. We also have salad and cookies for dessert. As much as I wanted to enjoy the mass amount of free pizza in front of me, I only ate two slices and a very small salad. One slice was pepperoni and the other was like a bbq chicken pizza. The salad wasn't much of a salad considering it was only lettuce. I opted to top my salad with a lil ranch dressing. The pizza was great, but I had to forgo the thick ass crust you are left with when you finish the part of the pizza with the toppings. I figured that saved me a few calories. I also bypassed the cookies, boy that was hard. Overall lunch was a success, but I am not sure if pizza can ever be considered a success. I guess it is all relative.

Back in the gameeeeeee!!!

I know I have been gone for a few days but I am back. Due to my busy schedule, I have been unable to write in my blog. Well, let me stop lying, I have just been lazy. I will not try to update all the days that I missed but will try to be better about updating my flog in the near future. Breakfast this morning was a nutri-grain bar and a chewy granola bar, nothing too exciting.

I have officially moved out of my frat house and my new diet has started. I promised myself that when I moved out that I would be better about what I eat. I am trying to lean down to the 180's so in order to do that, I must change the way I eat. However today is our department in which they always serve pizza (just about every imaginable type). I think I will try to lean towards just the pepperoni, and just two slices instead of the usual three and a salad. Is that so bad? You have to excuse my writing today, as I just proofread and my sentence structure was rather elementary. What do you expect, today is my first day of the week.

Something new/old

Even though the cafe ALWAYS has the same thing for breakfast, I find myself wandering aimlessly in there pondering what exactly I want to eat. First, I headed to the meat area where everything just looked so damn greasy. Sometimes the site of fried pork in the morning can just make me sick. Next, I headed to the muffin area. I am pretty sure they cook those damn muffins then take sugar and sprinkle it on top, not a good look. I have been trying to minimize my sugar intake as it makes you age, it is tough to burn off, and usually just gets stored as fat. Well, at least that is what I think. On to the loaves of bread and bagels. As my eyes scanned every possible type of bread in the world, I chose to go with the raisin bread. All I could think about was when my grandmother use to eat it all the time. The raisin bread was really good, but I think it was because I haven't had it in an eternity. I also ate the orange I had on my desk left from yesterday. Good start to the day thus far.

Starving like Marvin

On the way home from work yesterday I thought I was going to have to pull the car over and search for some fruits and berries in the woods. I don't know why I did not decide to hit up my convenient snack drawer in the PM. I am glad traffic wasn't bad on the way home or else I would have passed out from low blood sugar. All I could think about on the way home was getting me a sub from subway. I chose the 12" roast beef on italian herbs and cheese. I would typically go for the wheat since I figure it should be a lil healthier, but I wanted to just enjoy my sub. I think I put every vegetable on there except tomatoes, they make me vomit. Surprisingly, the sub tided me over for the nite. I guess that in combination with my post workout shake was sufficient to keep me from eating something late at night.

Not too Shabby

Breakfast this morning was a toasted peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a diet mountain dew. The jelly was sugar free so it wasn't too bad. Peanut butter is very filling, so I wasn't hungry by lunch, but knew if I didn't eat, I would be starving later. I had to rush and gobble down lunch as I was appointed to run the RAY-BEN booth for People's Week. My grilled chicken wrap was kinda blah, damn the cafeteria. I should have chosen a salad as a side, but the bag of Doritos was calling my name. Boy I can't wait to start packing my lunch. Hopefully I will start bringing carrots or celery to snack on instead of the usual junk food.

Catch up

For some reason I didn't update lunch and dinner yesterday even though I had plenty of time to do it. Well here it goes. Lunch was in the cafe although I banned it. Howard again wanted to eat in the cafe seeing how he had to get back upstairs for a meeting. I went with the panini with chicken, ham, and cheese, and honey mustard dipping sauce. I didn't let my better judgement take precedence so I walked to the grill area and piled french fries onto my plate for a side. When will Jesus finally take the wheel?

For dinner I had burgers. I shall opt to not tell how many I ate as I am ashamed. Had some cheese nips on the side and fresh fruit. That is bout all I have to say about that.

Snack drawer

I ate breakfast from my stash this morning. One chewy granola bar, one nutri-grain bar, and a Coke Zero. I am pretty sure I am now addicted to caffeine.

Is that cat?

Dinner was late last night. I ran three miles after work, then I had to rush to the movies in the Boston Commons so Jay and I could get a good seat for Harry Potter. Just like Cecil said, the movie was really good. I wasn't really hungry during the movie but I kept snacking on the small $4 bag of fruit snacks Jay purchased from the rip off counter at the movies. By the time the movie was over, my blood sugar had dropped significantly, and it was a must that I get something to fill my stomach. Chinese was what I had a taste for, so I stopped at my usual, The Grand Chau Chow. Good thing these Asian people are psychic cause the food always comes out in three minutes sharp. At 11:30pm we were served with pork fried dumplings, chicken fried rice, and sesame chicken. I ate five of the six dumplings seeing how Jay wasn't too much feeling the terd like pork object in the middle. I took a couple bites of the chicken fried rice and ate a few sesame chicken and I was done. Boy, that food is usually much better when i stumble in there drunk at 3am.

Jesus Take The Wheel

How could a week get started off this bad? Wondering aimlessly around the cafe trying to find something to eat, I chose to have the steak and cheese wrap. I should have been warned off when I saw the deli lady drizzling nacho cheese into the wraps of the people in front of the line, but no. "I will have the steak and cheese wrap with onions, mushrooms, peppers, and lettuce," I say. "Chips and pickle?" she replies, "but of course." That isn't where lunch ended. This week is "People's Week" at work, so to kick it off, they were serving sundaes. I opted for the vanilla ice cream with chocolate sprinkles, walnuts, hot fudge, whip cream, and two cherries. Need I say more? At this rate, how will I find me an asian lady or a "well put together brotha?" LOL please refer to link below from Bossip regarding Taye Diggs' comments.

Cafe Ban

I got ripped off this morning! It is well known that our cafe doesn't have consistent pricing, but this morning I got price gouged. I got a ham, egg, and cheese bagel which I figured may be around $2. I get up to the register and the guy in front of me had the same thing. "Three fifteen" says the depressed looking cafeteria lady. I say to myself "he must of had some coffee," but to my surprise, I was charged the exact thing when it was my turn in line. I shall therefore suspend my eating in the cafe for a month. However the cafe's suspension must start tomorrow because I have to eat lunch with Howard today.

Dinner

Burrito again. Convenient and filling. Carnitas, cheese, pintos, rice, lettuce, hotsauce. I didn't do too good of a job today eating throughout the day. Maybe I will be better when I move out of this damn frat house.

Bottom of the Barrel

Brunch was at Cracker Barrel. The slogan for that place should be "Just Say NO!!!" From the time I cracked the menu, I knew it would be bad. Wait just a mintue, my arteries have something they want to tell me. Ok im back, they were just a little pissed at me. So I decided to have the country ham. They don't serve that too many places in the city so I decided to endulge myself. The sides that accompanied the meal were all wrong. I chose the scrambled eggs, hashbrown casserole, biscuits with gravey, and grits. The waitress was suppose to bring me some apple butter but didn't. A black woman should know better than to forget the damn apple butter. I am not a huge grits fan so I didn't eat but a spoonful. I also opted not to finish one biscuit and a corner of eggs. All I need now is a few hours of sleep.

A Downhill Slide

Dinner wasn't bad, I had a chicken burrito with rice, black beans, lettuce, and hot sauce. I thought that would be my last meal of the nite, but little did I know I would not only eat one more time, but TWICE. Markis and Rob ordered a pizza around 10pm. One cheese and the other ham with black olives. I thought maybe I could be strong willed and pass on it, but when those two boxes were opened, it was like there was gold in that box. I ate two slices of ham and black olives, that was good considering there were two boxes on the table. Second dinner was a bowl of cereal, special K with strawberries. Let's see if we can not have another nite like this!

Damn you Dave

Umm I would call it brunch but I don't think anything from Wendy's is considered brunch. I had my favorite, the number 2. That would be the double stack combo. Damn I love those greasy square patties. Of course I had to have the fries with the meal considering that is my favorite food. An alarm should go off in your head whenever you expend half your daily calories on one meal. Apparently mine was broke today. I checked the nutritional facts on the way out of Wendy's for the meal I had, boy that was disturbing.

Thank you Jared

Dinner was at Subway today. Well I guess now it was yesterday. I had the spicy italian 12" sub. I would have done the 6" but I would have been starving by later and ended up eating some mess late at nite. I also finished the canister of Doritos which was not good but o well, I had to eat them at some point.

Lunch

For lunch I walked across the street to find something from Shaw's deli. They have a tempting assortment of all kinds of fried chicken in there which ranges from fried chicken fingers, popcorn chicken, chicken wings, and simple fried chicken. However tasty it may be, I chose to go with one of their premade turkey and cheese subs. The deli line began to grow long so I didn't wait to try the Waldorf salad in the glass case that I have been eyeing for about a month. Contrary to popular belief, the guys who run the Shaw's deli aren't too bright and it would have taken my whole lunch period for him wait on the 10 people in front of me. On the way to the register, I was figuring out what else I should eat. I bypassed the bananas for the canister of Doritos that were only a dollar. I only ate 11 Doritos though since that was the amount that is in one serving. I flushed my lunch down with a huge Styrofoam cup full of water.

Breakfast

Umm, I was not in a mood for sweet stuff this morning, so I chose to bypass the snack drawer at my desk. I went to the cafe and got two sausage patties, corn beef hash, a slice of bread and a diet coke. I was upset that they were out of eggs. I guess that is what happens when you get to work at 9:20. After taking a few mouth fulls of hash I felt guilty for eating all that greasy stuff and called it quits. I however finished rest of my food; Eric doesnt waste what he pays for. Besides we don't each much damn corned beef hash in the south anyways.

Dinner

Well dinner last nite wasn't too bad, if you omit the liquid diet I engaged in. Before and after my workout I had my usual strawberry Syntha-6 protein shake. I was going to grab something quick before going to see Harry Potter last nite but after we found out it was sold out, we went to sit down to eat. I just had the calamari, we shall flog all the drinks I had :).

Afternoon Snack

Ummm for a snack I had the same thing as b fast, but this time I had a Coke Zero instead of a Diet Coke. You know I have to switch it up from time to time to make things interesting. Day 1 and I am already about tired of writing in this thing. I have decided that I have fat tendancies. It is 5:23 and I am already thinking about dinner. I can't decide whether I want to eat before the gym or just do a shake. I know that I will probably eat before seeing Harry Potter 2nite so if I eat after work, that means I will eat later also, and have a shake. Umm not good at all. Also, I am going out later to have some drinks, but that will be after 12 so I can put that on tomorrow's food log.

Lunch

Lunch was Mexican at Acupocos. I think I spelled that correctly. Hold on, I will be right back, it has hit me already. Ok, I am back. Something told me all those onions werent a good idea. I had the arroz con pollo. O yeah, I realized that I can have 2500 cals a day, but i should be at like 2000 if I want to lose fat. Back to the arroz con pollo. I am not sure how many cals that was, but let's just say I think I am over my daily limit. I would have been fine if the cheese wasnt stuck to the rice. Also, the sour cream and tortilla shells didn't help. I will have to purge before dinner if I want to stay under 2500 for the day. I work my ass off in the gym so maybe I can burn around 1000.

Breakfast

Ummm.... I was pretty good this morning, but I am really not a breakfast person, so in essence i really never eat much in the am. I have been trying to eat breakfast to keep my metabo up so I can stay lean, slim, and trim. Ok slim will never happen but hopefully the other 2 arent out of the question. On to what I ate. Diet coke, 1 nutri-grain bar, and one chewy granola bar. These are my desk snacks so becuz im lazy, I may start saying ditto in the morning which will indicate I ate the same damn thing from the previous morning. 230 calories thus far today. I have 2270 left for the day. I think I can intake 2500 without getting fatter. Lunch will be bad. Mexican :(.

Jump off

Ok since Cecil made me feel guilty about my 30+ wings and 3 beers, I have decided to share my sin with the world. I should be able to update this often seeing how much free time I have at work. However, my selective memory may hinder me from accurately filling it out. God bless and let the sinning start. Is that any oxymoron?
